Invitation is a way to invite someone or more to go to a place or to do something or a request (spoken or written) to participate or be present or take part in something

There are two types of invitation:
FORMAL INVITATION
Formal invitation is usually originate from Institutes, Companies and a kind of it. Normally formal invitation is written invitation.

INFORMAL INVITATION
Informal invitation is personal invitation given to a friend, family, etc. Informal invitation can be written invitation and verbal invitation.



To invite someone
• I would like you to …
• We would be pleased if you could …
• Would you like to …?
• Shall we …?
• How about …?

To accept an invitation
• Thank you. Yes, I would like to …
• Yes, I would. Thanks.
• That would be very nice. Thank you.
• All right!
• O.K.!

To refuse/decline an invitation
• I would love to, but …
• That’s nice/great. Unfortunately/However …
• That’s very kind of you, but …
• Sorry, that wouldn’t be possible. Thanks anyway.
